Bra Recycling Month: How We’re Honoring Domestic Violence And Breast Cancer Survivors This October

As the leaves start to change colors and a cool breeze fills the air, we enter the month of October – a time of reflection and action. At The Bra Recyclers, we are thrilled to announce that October is proclaimed Bra Recycling Month, a time for us to raise awareness and promote understanding of our mission.

During this month, we stand firm with breast cancer survivors and extend our support to domestic violence survivors.

Why?

As Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month fall in October, these causes are particularly poignant and relevant to our work.

How Our Mission Directly Impacts Breast Cancer Survivors

As we continue our partnership with Impact One Breast Cancer Foundation, we are dedicated to helping breast cancer survivors thrive by recycling mastectomy bras and prostheses.

Breast cancer is a difficult and life-altering experience that affects countless individuals. With every mastectomy bra and prosthesis recycled, we contribute to reducing textile waste and empower breast cancer survivors in their journey toward recovery.

Together with Impact One Breast Cancer Foundation, we strive to make a tangible impact on the lives of those affected by this disease.

Why We’re Waving the Flag for Domestic Violence Survivors

In addition to our efforts with breast cancer survivors, we acknowledge the importance of supporting domestic violence survivors. We recognize that one of the challenges these courageous individuals face is finding access to essential items such as underwear.

That's why, as part of our outreach this month, we are committed to collecting your gently used bras and new underwear to assist and bring comfort to organizations that support domestic violence survivors. Every donation can make a significant difference in providing them with basic necessities and helping them regain their strength and confidence.

By combining forces with organizations focusing on breast cancer survivors and domestic violence survivors, we can amplify our impact on individuals and communities. We encourage you to join us during Bra Recycling Month and participate in our mission to recycle, support, and uplift those who have faced such challenging experiences.
