Ambassador Program Guidelines

Please review these program expectations before completing your Ambassador application.

Before You Agree

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Recycling Ambassador with The Bra Recyclers. Our Ambassadors help expand access to responsible bra and underwear recycling while educating their customers, followers, and communities about why what happens next matters.

These guidelines explain the expectations, responsibilities, and program boundaries that help us maintain a consistent and trusted Ambassador network. Please review them carefully before submitting your application. By checking the agreement box on the application, you confirm that you have read, understand, and agree to follow these guidelines.

Your Core Responsibilities

As an Ambassador, you help represent The Bra Recyclers in your community. These responsibilities help keep the program consistent, organized, and trustworthy for everyone involved.

Use approved materials and messaging
Use approved logos, collection materials, and program language when promoting your participation. Major changes to branded materials, formal announcements, or press releases should be reviewed before publication.

Maintain a clean and organized collection area
Provide an appropriate container for collecting bras and underwear and keep the area clean, safe, and easy for participants to use. Approved labels and collection resources will be available through the Ambassador Portal.

Keep your information current
Notify The Bra Recyclers promptly if your contact information, location, website, public drop-off hours, or program details change. Send an email to partner@brarecycling.com.

Store collected items responsibly
Keep collected items secure, dry, and protected until they are shipped or delivered. Ambassadors are responsible for the care of collected items while they remain at their respective locations or events.

Follow current program instructions
Use the current packing, identification, recycling form, and shipping instructions provided by The Bra Recyclers. These instructions may change as program needs and available pathways evolve.

Approved Ambassadors will receive access to the Ambassador Portal for current templates, labels, instructions, and resources.

Collection, Packing, and Shipping

Ambassadors are responsible for keeping collected items protected and following the current preparation and shipping instructions provided by The Bra Recyclers.

Collection containers
Ambassadors provide their own collection containers unless otherwise agreed. Containers should be clean, sturdy, clearly identified, and appropriate for the number of items being collected.

Item preparation
Collected bras and underwear should be kept dry, contained, and protected from damage. Items do not need to be individually sorted unless The Bra Recyclers provides different instructions for your program.

Recycling form and identification
Complete the current recycling form when required so your shipment can be connected to your organization or program. Each box or shipment should also include clear identifying information.

Shipping responsibility
Ambassadors are responsible for arranging and paying for shipping or delivery unless otherwise confirmed in writing.

Large or unusual quantities
Contact The Bra Recyclers before sending large volumes, pallets, freight shipments, or items outside the standard collection categories. Acceptance depends on product eligibility, condition, volume, and available pathways.

Current shipping instructions
Use the current shipping address and instructions provided through the Ambassador Portal or directly by The Bra Recyclers. Do not rely on older printed materials, saved addresses, or previous shipping arrangements.

Public Drop-Off Location Requirements

If your organization will accept public drop-offs, you agree to maintain a reliable, accessible, and well-managed collection experience.

Accurate public information
Keep your business or organization name, address, phone number, website, and hours of operation current. Notify The Bra Recyclers promptly when any of this information changes.

Public access
Your location should be open to the public during the posted hours when drop-offs are accepted. Any limits, appointment requirements, or temporary closures should be communicated clearly.

Collection area
Maintain a clean, safe, and clearly identified collection area. The container should be monitored regularly to prevent overflow or safety concerns.

Accepted items
Only accept items that meet the current program guidelines. If someone brings a large quantity of unusual items or products outside the standard collection categories, direct them to contact The Bra Recyclers before leaving the items.

Local responsibility
Your organization is responsible for the security, condition, and management of collected items while they remain at your location.

This section should be clearly labeled:

This section applies only to approved public drop-off locations.

Brand, Messaging, and Communications

Ambassadors help protect the trust and consistency of The Bra Recyclers brand. Public communications should accurately represent the program and use current, approved information.

Use approved brand materials
Use only the current logos, graphics, collection materials, and messaging provided by The Bra Recyclers. Do not alter the logo, create unofficial program badges, or use outdated materials.

Share accurate program information
Describe the program using approved language about responsible reuse, recycling, community stewardship, and next-life pathways. Do not guarantee that every item will be reused, distributed to a nonprofit, or sent to end-of-life recycling.

Avoid unsupported claims
Do not publish environmental, social impact, or community outreach claims unless the information has been provided or approved by The Bra Recyclers.

Request approval for formal communications
Press releases, media announcements, co-branded campaigns, paid advertising, and major changes to approved materials should be reviewed before publication.

Share stories responsibly
Ambassadors are encouraged to share collection stories and community participation. Obtain permission before sharing the names, photographs, testimonials, or personal information of customers, employees, or community members.

Tag and credit The Bra Recyclers
When appropriate, tag The Bra Recyclers in social media posts and identify the organization as the recycling program partner.

Approved templates, social media resources, and current messaging will be available through the Ambassador Portal.

Ownership, Safety, and Liability

Collected items remain the responsibility of the Ambassador until they are received and accepted by The Bra Recyclers.

Care of collected items
Ambassadors are responsible for keeping collected items secure, dry, and protected from theft, damage, contamination, or loss while stored at the Ambassador’s location or during an event.

Transfer of ownership
Once items are received and accepted by The Bra Recyclers, ownership transfers to The Bra Recyclers. The Bra Recyclers determine the most appropriate available next-life pathway based on condition, eligibility, volume, and current program capacity.

No guaranteed pathway
Participation in the Ambassador program does not guarantee that every item will be reused, distributed to a nonprofit, or sent to end-of-life textile recycling.

Events and temporary collections
Ambassadors hosting public events or temporary collection drives are responsible for obtaining any required permissions, permits, insurance, or venue approvals.

Loss or damage
The Bra Recyclers is not responsible for items that are lost, stolen, damaged, or improperly handled before they are received.

Program Fees and Optional Services

Ambassador programs may vary depending on the organization, the number of locations, the collection model, support needs, and reporting requirements.

Any applicable setup fees, additional-location fees, shipping responsibilities, optional services, and other program costs will be reviewed with the applicant and confirmed in writing before the partnership begins.

Additional services, such as Sustainability Scorecards, partner highlights, participation or rewards reporting, and customized impact reporting, may be available for a separate fee.
