Every year, Giving Tuesday reminds us what generosity looks like in action. This global day of giving began in 2012 as a simple idea, dedicate one day to giving back.
Now, it’s a movement that spans more than 90 countries and millions of acts of care.
For The Bra Recyclers, Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to show how reuse and renewal can change lives. Through our nonprofit partner The Undie Chest, we’re turning December 2 into A Day for Dignity, raising $5,000 in 24 hours to provide clean, new underwear for families experiencing hygiene poverty.
Why It Matters
Hygiene poverty is often invisible.
One in three U.S. families struggles to afford basic hygiene products. For shelters and schools, new underwear is one of the hardest items to source, yet it’s one of the first items people need to feel clean, confident, and cared for.
When The Bra Recyclers donate overstock and gently used bras, we help reduce textile waste and extend the life of quality products.
Through The Undie Chest, that same spirit of renewal extends to those who can’t afford essentials many of us take for granted.
This Giving Tuesday, every donation keeps that cycle of care in motion, from warehouse shelves to classrooms and shelters across the U.S.
How You Can Take Part
Give — A $10 gift provides 5 pairs of new underwear and helps fund shipping and storage.
Donate undies — Send in new underwear using the form on The Undie Chest.
Share — Tell someone why this day matters and help us spread the word about hygiene poverty.
Each action helps create dignity through sustainability.

The Undie Chest is aiming to raise $5,000 by midnight on December 2.
Every contribution supports the essentials and the infrastructure that make delivery possible, including storage, shipping, and coordination with local partners.
