Supporting California Wildfire Survivors with Underwear: An Urgent Appeal
The wildfires sweeping through California this January 2025 have left thousands of families with little more than the clothes on their backs. While shelters are stepping in to provide food and temporary housing, there’s one essential that often gets overlooked: underwear.
That’s where we come in.
At The Bra Recyclers, we’re teaming up with local partners in Los Angeles to get bras and underwear into the hands of wildfire survivors. Through our nonprofit, The Undie Chest, we’re ensuring people have the comfort and dignity they deserve during such a tough time.
Here’s How You Can Help
Every little bit helps, and we’ve made it super easy for you to get involved:
Send in New Underwear and Bras
We’re looking for new underwear for men, women, and kids.
Got gently used or new bras? You can recycle them here.
Shop Our Wish Lists
You can send much-needed items directly to us by shopping our Amazon Wish List or Wholesale Wish List.
Chip In with a Donation
Just $20 can cover the shipping cost for up to 50 pounds of bras and underwear to people who need them most.
Your donations go a long way in helping us get these essentials to wildfire survivors quickly.
Why Underwear?
When families have to leave their homes in a hurry, underwear is often the last thing on their minds. While shelters do a great job providing food and clothes, underwear isn’t usually part of the mix—but it’s something everyone needs.
By donating or recycling bras and underwear, you’re giving people one less thing to worry about as they rebuild their lives.
Your kindness can make all the difference. A donation, no matter how small, can bring a little comfort to someone facing a really hard time.
Whether you donate items, shop from our wish lists, or send funds, you’re helping us spread hope and care when it’s needed most.
Let’s come together for California.
