The Demi Cup Joins The Bra Recyclers as a Recycling Ambassador in Scottsdale, Arizona

A place where fit, comfort, and care come first

There’s something powerful about walking into a boutique where you feel seen.

At The Demi Cup in Scottsdale, that feeling is intentional. For over a decade, the boutique has served women in the community with thoughtful fittings and an inclusive range of sizes. Since taking ownership, Carlene Leier has continued that legacy, helping women find the perfect fit across lingerie, activewear, pajamas, and swimwear.

Now, that commitment to care extends beyond the fitting room.

We’re grateful to welcome The Demi Cup as one of our newest Recycling Ambassadors and an official public drop-off location in Scottsdale.

A drop-off location serving the Scottsdale community

The Demi Cup is now accepting gently used bras for a second life, first, prioritizing reuse whenever possible and then ensuring responsible next steps for items that can’t be redistributed.

The response has already been meaningful. As Elaine shared during her visit to the store, the response has already been strong. “They have been getting just hundreds of bras”,  many brought in when customers are purchasing new bras.

“They bring them into recycling. And I just knew that there’s such a need. I’m so excited to give them to the girls in the schools… and the women’s shelter programs we have. And the girls really need these bras.”

For customers who have already participated, she added:

“And to all my amazing customers, your bras are going to good use. Thank you so much for bringing them in.”

This is what circular retail looks like at the local level — thoughtful, practical, and rooted in community.

When you bring in bras to recycle, The Demi Cup is offering 15% off a new bra for yourself as a thank you for participating. The in-store discount began February 1, 2026, and will run through February 1, 2028. No public code is required; simply bring your items in and speak with the team in-store.

Sustainable retail practices don’t always look dramatic. Often, they look like steady decisions made over time.

The Demi Cup already limits bag use by offering them only upon request — a simple but meaningful way to reduce waste. By adding in-store bra collection, they’re creating a tangible circular economy touchpoint for their customers.

They’ve also expressed interest in tracking customer recycling participation and reporting on environmental impact — an important step for retailers aligning with evolving ESG goals and Sustainable Development Goals (particularly SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production).

Importantly, this partnership prioritizes reuse first. Wearable bras are redistributed to women and girls through community programs before any other responsible next step is taken.

That’s how textile waste reduction becomes real — not through overclaiming, but through consistent, measurable action.

For retailers considering joining

Retailers are increasingly being asked how they support sustainability, community impact, and ethical fashion.

Recycling partnerships offer a structured, approachable way to:

  • Support circular economy practices

  • Reduce textile waste

  • Align with ESG goals and SDGs

  • Offer customers a meaningful way to participate

  • Create measurable social and environmental impact

If you’re a retailer looking to take a practical next step without overhauling your operations, we’d love to connect.

Sometimes impact starts with something as simple as a box in-store. And sometimes that small decision creates a ripple effect far beyond the counter.

We’re grateful to partner with retailers like The Demi Cup, who understand that care doesn’t end at checkout. 💚♻️
