A few years back, writer Patricia Marx set out to declutter her entire life for a piece called "A Guide to Getting Rid of Almost Everything." She tried selling things online, donating to thrift shops, and tracking down specialty organizations that take items regular charities won't, like art supplies, old mascara wands, and, yes, bras. That's where The Bra Recyclers came in. We were so honored to be named in a national publication for doing exactly what we set out to do back in 2008: give bras a second life instead of a landfill.

The Bra Recyclers and The Undie Chest have donated 7,932 pounds in 2026 while creating measurable environmental and community impact.

The organization has built a national infrastructure that enables individuals, retailers, nonprofits, and businesses to responsibly divert bras and other textiles from the waste stream.

The Demi Cup in Scottsdale is now an official drop-off location for The Bra Recyclers — giving gently used bras a second life and offering 15% off a new bra when customers recycle in-store.
